The superhero drama will continue in 2023-2024.
June 12, 2023
The CW announced today that Superman & Lois has been renewed for Season 4. The early pickup comes with two episodes remaining in the superhero drama's third season.
Based on the well-known DC Comics characters, the series offers a different take on the superhero genre. After spending years fighting supervillains and alien invaders, the Man of Steel, aka Clark Kent, and Lois Lane are now dealing with one of their greatest challenges: being working parents in today's society and wondering whether their sons could inherit their father's Kryptonian superpowers. Returning to Smallville to handle some family business, Clark and Lois become reacquainted with Lana Lang, who is now married. Also, Lois' father is looking for Superman to take down a villain or save the day at a moment's notice.
Today's fourth-season renewal of Superman & Lois is for 10 episodes, which will be its shortest season to-date. Look for a midseason premiere during the 2023-2024 broadcast season.

What I read recently, that most of the supporting cast is getting let go due to budget cuts. I am not sure if they are being replaced with other actors. The only actors are staying is Superman, Lois and their two sons.
I hope this show isn't cancelled. It's been very enjoyable to watch.

This was really the best of the bunch. It did a good job of weaving the "required" CW woke into the story without really hurting the overall story telling or the character of Clark/Superman. Mostly anyway.
But the writing was on the wall for it and now for sure since it has axed 7 of it's supporting cast. This will probably be the last season, so I hope it goes out on a high.

Yes. A very enjoyable superman show. I like how they incorporated a lot of lana stories, an interesting bizarro subplot, a great actor from the walking dead, and not too much alternate dimensions. The changeover in actors for one of the clark kids went smooth.
I wonder if they could pull off a little myxlplyx or some other 1970's and '80s baddies. And I hope they dont overuse bizarro. He is still cool in this series.

I have to agree to the last comment the actress that plays Lois Lane is horrible but the show is awesome because it's Superman and I hope they come out with another two seasons because Superman is the best I'm a big Superman fan

I am with the Jon Noar.
The lois actress is abysmal. Annoying. Grating.
"Oh my gawrd darn clark! Most things are not as important as uncovering or exposing truth through my biased small town paper. {I miss being at a big city paper}, Oh clark, the DOD just flared you, thats important. go do it. It's slighly more important this week than the article i am working on."

Although I watch the show...I think that the actress who plays Lois Lane is horrible! I would like to see her replaced. The cancer storyline was annoying with her too.

I wonder if the shorter season is cause of the writer strike that's currently on going

Cut episodes and budget looks like it will be a final season to me

Glad they are coming back. CW has scrubbed so many shows, which makes me lean more towards Netflix, Amazon, Paramount, Peacock subscriptions. I can use a lot less of our not-big TV, way across the room and all the texting and very small subtitles on foreign languages that they seem to be slipping in on Many English-speaking shows. It's a bit distracting but will be easier to see on a computer screen right in front of me. Most network shows have webcasts of most of their shows the next day or so after the initial airing. This comes in handy when sports games roll into your favorite show's time slot, news break-ins or severe weather (you should be watching those) takes a big bite out of your show or when your personal schedule does not allow for viewing when it is aired.
