The drama will return for a second season.
November 29, 2023
NBC announced today that The Irrational has been renewed for Season 2. The pickup is no surprise, as the drama ranks as the #1 new show of the season in total viewers. Currently on a midseason hiatus, its remaining four freshman episodes will resume in the new year on January 29.
Based on the book 'Predictably Irrational' by Dan Ariely, the series follows world-renowned professor of behavioral science, Alec Mercer, who lends his expertise on high-stakes cases involving governments, law enforcement and corporations. His insight and unconventional approach to understanding human behavior lead him and the team on unexpected journeys to solve illogical puzzles and perplexing mysteries.
Look for Season 2 of The Irrational next fall as part of NBC's 2024-2025 lineup.

This is a really good show, if they can manage to keep it from becoming racial or making racist comments about white people this will be a hit show!

Surprised at the renewal. Watched 3 episodes and was done. I found the sister to be obnoxious, was not impressed by the acting of the two research tech's and the " whole, working with the ex" is redundant.
I enjoy watching Jesse Martin, but not enough to tolerate this show.

Try watching this show. Very boring. NBC picks up some of the worsts shows and cancelled the better show like La Brea.

It's a good show but lets take a beat. It's #1 out of what two three new shows?

@Mike
I agree he's good, but he's been a main character on TV from 2014-2023 portraying Barry Allen's adoptive dad (in 177 episodes according to IMDb) in TV show "The Flash".
