No Season 4 for the martial arts drama.
December 18, 2023
It is being reported that Max has cancelled Warrior after three seasons. The news comes four months after the martial arts crime drama wrapped its now-final run after a two-and-a-half year break between seasons two and three.
The series debuted in 2019, airing its first two seasons on Cinemax. When the network announced it was getting out of the original programming business, the series was moved to Max for Season 3.
In the wake of today's cancellation comes word that Netflix has picked up the non-exclusive rights to all three seasons. Should it perform well, it is possible that the streamer could order a new season to continue the story.
Based on an original concept by martial arts legend Bruce Lee, Warrior follows Ah Sahm, a young martial arts prodigy in the 1870s who immigrates to San Francisco from China under mysterious circumstances after the Civil War. Once there, he becomes a hatchet man for one of Chinatown's most powerful and feared organized crime families.

I'm thinking Max may not be meeting its internal profit goals with the many programming and carrier changes being made within the cable/streaming industry.
I'm presently an Xfinity, Paramount+, and AmazonPrimeVideo subscriber, which seems to be my limit as to affordability regarding tv entertainment.
