No Season 2 for the action dramedy.

It is being reported that The Brothers Sun has been cancelled by Netflix after just one season. The news comes less than two months after the action dramedy released its 8-episode freshman run.
Its January debut was met with a positive reception from both critics and viewers, but its audience numbers likely fell below the streamer's expectations. It did spend five weeks in Netflix's Top 10 list for English language series, but only made it as high as #2.
In the show, the head of a powerful Taiwanese triad is shot by a mysterious assassin, forcing his eldest son, legendary killer Charles "Chairleg" Sun to travel to Los Angeles in order to protect his mother and brother. But as Taipei's deadliest societies and a new rising faction fight for dominance - Charles, his brother and their mother must heal the wounds caused by their separation and figure out what brotherhood and family truly mean before one of their enemies kills them all.

I assumed this was a limited series. I would've watched more but I'm not gutted or anything. It was open enough for more but seemed complete.

One of the dumbest things you’ve ever done. But just keep going on the way you are and maybe you’ll see you getting cancelled. BOO!!

Whhhhhyy I really liked the show. Y'all bring over The Warrior but cancelled this one. I like shows that has the Triad gangs in movies and Tv series. The show had Michelle Yeah in it . It was a comedy. Y'all suck. I am ready to cancelled this streaming service.

Gutted about the cancellation but at least it had something of a conclusive ending.

Had the show on the wish list for a while. Does this first (and now only) season have a conclusion of some sort? I'll regretfully trash it if there is some sort of cliffhanger with no resolution to come.

This is awful news. It’s hard to express using any kind words my deep disappointment. The Brothers Sun was one of the reasons why I decided not to cancel my Netflix subscription.

Netflix is crazy for letting this one go! I absolutely LOVED it & was anticipating season 2.

This is a miniseries with a closed ending, right? That's what I thought at least... I don't understand the cancellation announcement.
