CBS has announced that a new spinoff sequel to 'Young Sheldon' has been ordered for the 2024-2025 television season. Created by Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro and Steve Holland - the producing team behind 'The Big Bang Theory' and 'Young Sheldon' - the half-hour multi-camera comedy will follow Georgie and Mandy as they raise their young family in Texas while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting and marriage.
"It has been a privilege to spend the last seven years with Sheldon and the Cooper family and now this wonderful journey will continue with Georgie and Mandy," said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. "Chuck and both Steves have done a masterful job developing these characters and entertaining generations of fans with relatable, heartwarming stories brought to life by Montana and Emily. We eagerly look forward to the next chapter in this beloved universe."
The seventh and final season of 'Young Sheldon' is currently airing on CBS. The series finale is scheduled for May 16 with two back-to-back episodes.

I'm surprised, because CBS has been killing off all its Chuck Lorre shows. He's clearly semi-retired, all his new shows are produced with collaborators.
OTOH, I'm not surprised about building a new show around Georgie and Mandy. "Young Sheldon" was slowing pivoting away from Sheldon who couldn't carry the show by himself. So much for the young genius. Whether Georgie and Mandy can carry a show with a unknown new cast remains to be seen.
Can't CBS come up with original content instead of milking old hits to death? Whatever BB / Young Sheldon fans still remain, I can't see many of them watching this spinoff.

I sat around long enough for yall to weigh in on this travesty.
Lets work from the back end. Haley O can run a show or film. No reason to see her tank trying to save this. Her Husband the brilliant tire-whisperer....can command stage and screen.
19 minute episodes for endless weeks? I hope they pull their contract offers. and chuck davis needs to retire. out of touch.
he screwed the pooch when young sheldon almost invented JSTOR and algorithmic coins. TOO MUCH OVER REACH C.D.
don't keep that band together. right now we all love all the rest of sheldons family, more than that obnoxious, temperance learning guy.

new couple! texas fun! cameos! stories and plots that devolve into sitcom hell...
georgie has a career in movies. and haley, girl is well established.
cancel the spin-off you douche.

Memaw and Dale would make a good sitcom for a couple of seasons, hopefully they have them in this one, and keep Sheldon out in Cali.

I think this will be good if they keep most of the other characters, Mee Maw, Dale, Mary, Missy etc.

.. don't get it. The YS spinoff was, well, not great in my opinion. I likes TBBT but YS was just nowhere as good. We really don't need more of this junk.. Chuck Lorre needs to retire. He no longer knows a good sitcom.. he's too old.

Don't see the need for this one. I would rather see Connie and Dale! Annie Potts is hilarious and could definitely carry a show on her own. Give Me Maw a spinoff!!!!
