The spin-off comedy scores a two-season pickup.

CBS announced a two-season renewal for Young Sheldon today - the first of its kind for the comedy - that will see it on the air through Season 4. The Chuck Lorre-created spin-off has been one of the network's top comedies over the course of its run.
Premiering in 2017, the show was quick to find an audience thanks to it being based on the early life of popular Big Bang Theory character Sheldon Cooper. With The Big Bang Theory set to end this year, Young Sheldon could become TV's most-watched comedy and in all probability will take over its predecessor's time slot going forward.
Young Sheldon follows a 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper growing up in East Texas. At a young age, his advanced mathematical and scientific mind isn't necessarily helpful when living in a town where football and church get all the attention. Vulnerable, gifted and naive, Sheldon is embarking on his awkward journey toward the man he will become.

Sad thing is, It will lose it's Viewership & be cancelled not long after it's lead-in show Big Bang ends.

I like "Young Sheldon", but I wouldn't be disappointed if it was canceled. I watch it for Missy, Georgie and MeMaw.

I love this show and find it funny and entertaining. I know the premise of TBBT but have never watched (it's on my to do list but that a lot of seasons to catch up on)

@Tandy - on the off chance that you happen to see this, thank you for your view point stated without any nastiness or negative tone. I, for one, would be shocked if everyone has the same opinion or likes every show - even the hit shows. I'm sorry you are being forced to watch it. Bright side - At least it is only 30 min???

I dont find the show as funny as BBT, but i do think its charming in its own way. Im actually glad its not another BBT (or another one of those garbage dick-joke heavy sitcoms,) makes it an easy way to kill 30min. Simple rule of TV life - if you dont like it then... dont watch it. My wife and i will continue to for at least two more years.

I don't get it. I find this show terribly unfunny. It relies solely upon some desire to see how Sheldon got his "quirks". That to me, is not really terribly interesting. I've never laughed, chuckled, or even grinned while (being forced) to watch this show. There's no actual humor here. Congrats to those that'll tune in for this.. but, well, I'm not one of you.

Love this show !! Young Sheldon is cool but the Little Twin Sister is a HOOT !! All the other actors are great as well, especially Annie Potts as Memaw !!

This garbage is worse than BBT. They're in in only for the money and the poor acting and writing proves it.
