The tennis docuseries will not return for a third season.
March 9, 2024
It is being reported by The Times that Netflix has cancelled Break Point after two seasons. The news comes two months after the tennis docuseries released its sophomore run. The move was reportedly due to low viewership as well as a lack of access to some of the sport's leading stars.
The show follows a diverse group of tennis players on and off the court as they compete in demanding slams with hopes of winning a final and climbing up the rankings to become the world's number one. Over the course of an entire year, the series follows the players across the world for all four Grand Slams and the ATP and WTA tours.

Yes, that's the ugly truth so hope for the fat chance that executives have ears.

"lack of access to some of the sport's leading stars"
This was the least of the shows problems. The show was OK, but it spent too much on the glamorous side of tennis. I would have preferred to see the real world of tennis, where 99% of Tennis is played, grinding out a career, living on couches, living in cars, and stringing racquets to try fund your career. This show spent too much time focused on tops stars and grand slams, it almost completely ignored that ITF even exists.
