No Season 3 for the detective drama.
April 19, 2024
It is being reported that So Help Me Todd has been cancelled by CBS after two seasons. The news comes with four episodes remaining in the drama's now-final run, with its May 16 episode now set to serve as its series ender.
Creator Scott Prendergast took to Instagram following the news, expressing gratitude to everyone involved in making the show as well as all the viewers, calling it the best professional experience of his life. See his full post below.
The show has been garnering decent ratings so far this season, but it does rank as one of the lowest-watched dramas on the network. It appears today's cancellation was needed in order to make room on the schedule for one of its upcoming new dramas set for the 2024-2025 season.
So Help Me Todd follows a guy named Todd, who has always wanted to be a private detective. Now that he is, he's very good at it. When his lawyer mom offers him a job as an in-house investigator at her firm, he reluctantly agrees - as long as she promises to let him be who he wants to be.

When this show is cancelled due to low ratings i wonder what they will do then.

This made me soo sad! Make sure y'all sign the petition! This is one of their highest performing and most consistent performers so I don't get the network's idiocy.

You guys are delusional thinking a multimillion $ company will spend money on a show that isn't leading ratings. If it isn't leading ratings on weekly basis or cheap to produce they will never renew any show.
Only way it comes back and get saved is if everyone takes paycut and the studio makes it cheaper for them to produce. Good luck at that!

This is total BS CBS - CBS needs to replace their program manager or whoever is making these ignorant decisions. Pure stupidity on their part. I just hope they don't replace it with another NCIS show. It would probably be something like NCIS Mayberry or NCIS Moon colony Base 1. :-O

This is a suprise. I only saw a part of one episode and though this show wouldn't make it. Shocked to hear it got a second episode let alone a second season. Every network should pick this up so that it can get canned a lot. We all would rather see an hour of traffic cams then more of this.
