Fox has announced that Alert: Missing Persons Unit will be coming back for a third season. The news comes with one episode remaining in the procedural drama's sophomore run. Word is the early pickup is to allow the show to remain in production after Season 2 and start work on Season 3 immediately.

The series follows members of the Philadelphia Police Department's Missing Persons Unit, who investigate life-or-death cases of people who disappear. In Season 1, officer Nikki Batista and her ex-husband also worked to get to the bottom of their long-lost son's disappearance. With that story resolved, the show now focuses more on each weekly case.

Look for Season 3 of Alert: Missing Persons Unit during the 2024-2025 season.
