Word is out that Walker has been cancelled by The CW after four seasons. The news comes with six episodes remaining in the drama's now-final run, with its series finale scheduled to air on June 26. Star Jared Padalecki took to Instagram with a heartfelt note to fans. See his post below. The CW also confirmed the cancellation.
"We want to thank the entire cast, crew, writers, directors and producers of Walker for their hard work and dedication over four incredible seasons," wrote the network in a statement. "We also want to give a special thanks to star and executive producer Jared Padalecki, who has been a member of The CW family for over 20 years and was integral to some of the biggest hits on the network."
A reimagining of 1990s drama 'Walker, Texas Ranger,' the show follows the adventures of widowed father of two Cordell Walker, who has returned home to Austin after being undercover for two years. He now turns his attention to reconnecting with his creative son and his rebellious teenage daughter while tackling other family issues with his ADA brother, perceptive mother, and traditional father.

Gotta admit I was disappointed in Mr Padalecki’s performances. It seemed like the exact same facial expressions & acting every episode no matter the plot. And the Stella & Augie character performances were just annoying. Bad CW/WB acting. Although I would have liked to see all the plot lines play out, but not the first show to end this way.

i think i know why it was cancelled. they had Jared playing this studdering Stanley character... i didnt understand why. Its not who jared is nor the character Walker. Why in the hell did they write the character that way? it was totally lost on me. I loved watching jared grow on Supernatural and yea...he was a natural for sure. Im 68 years old and i thought he was great, but this role was lost on him from the get go .the studding part was a loss to me and made a texas Ranger I have no doubt. Hang in there!! A long long Fan.

CW drops too many shows. This was not supposed to be like Chuck Norris'Walker. I like all these actors & it was a dramady, funny but endearing. His stuttering awkward ways are part of the act. More suited for NBC like:Parenthood,This Is Us,Family.Guess CW will be gone soon so I'll go back to streaming.

I couldn't get through the first season of Walker, it was not good. No surprise they finally cancelled it. I don't think the CW going forward will be doing much scripted shows, they don't have the $$$.

Walker? More like Woker. But the good news is that Jared can reunite with Jensen Ackles and Jim Beaver by joining the cast of The Boys.

Needed more ranger stories. Hunting down crooks. This is the fbi , ncis are still going strong , the cases come first then character dramas are secondary but a great cast made thos watchable.
