The drama reboot will return for Season 2.
February 3, 2021
The CW announced today that Walker has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes two episodes into the drama's freshman run. Since its January premiere, the series has so far garnered solid ratings despite mixed reviews.
A reimagining of 1990s drama "Walker, Texas Ranger," the show follows the adventures of widowed father of two Cordell Walker, who has returned home to Austin after being undercover for two years. He now turns his attention to reconnecting with his creative son and his rebellious teenage daughter while tackling other family issues with his ADA brother, perceptive mother, and traditional father.
Along with today's renewal, the network also topped up Season 1 of Walker with an additional five episodes, bringing its total to 18. Look for Season 2 to premiere as part of the 2021-2022 season.

Woke and very boring. TV's a utter wasteland of nothing on makes Barney Miller look like the A-Team.

Just as I thought, this new reboot is focusing waaayyyy too much on family drama/relationships, and not nearly enough on action, like the original. Coming from the CW, it's not at all surprising that this is the case. More action and less mush CW!!!

its fine not to like a show but you are all so annoying calling every show "sjw" show or whatever because a man cries or there is one gay character. grow up and welcome to the real world...that being said this show does suck lol

They need some action for sure. I like this show but lets get to crimes and villians as well as family drama. Walker is going to have to fight and even shoot his guns ocasionally. You know cops are still the good guys in spite of the insane blame all cops psycho movements.

I know nothing about the original "Walker Texas Ranger". All I know is this new "Walker" is currently too focused on the CW Formula. This formula runs: despite the premise of a show, be it superheroes or a Texas Ranger, the action adventure promised maybe fills about 25% of the show. The remaining 75% is pure night-time soap opera. If they want to do night-time soap, reboot "Dynasty" or "Dallas" or something. Quit this "bait & switch" game.

I actually like the show. I never watched the original Walker so that could contribute to liking the reboot. My parents are still big Walker fans and watch all the reruns.
