Another entry in the 'Power' franchise is coming to a close. Star Joseph Sikora just revealed on Instagram that Power Book IV: Force will be ending after its upcoming third season. The news comes three months after that announcement that 'Power Book II: Ghost' is ending after four seasons.
"When Gary Lennon and the other writers and I were mapping out our third season, we saw that we were telling a complete story, and that this was the perfect opportunity to stay true to our artist vision and make this the final chapter in Tommy's journey in Chicago," said Sikora in a video taken from the set. "But don't worry, Tommy's journey is far from over with. We're just getting warmed up and I can't wait to show you what we have planned next."
The latest spinoff in the successful 'Power' franchise, the series follows Tommy Egan as he looks to leave New York behind after losing Ghost and LaKeisha. But a detour to close an old wound turns into a web of family secrets and lies that were long thought buried. Tommy soon finds himself wrapped up in Chicago's drug scene, inserting himself between the city's two biggest crews.

3 seasons is not enough for this show. Tommy is by far the best character in the power universe. He isn't just a shoot them up drug dealer he brings some comedy relief to his character. I'm so sad we only got 3 seasons of force

Sad news, Book IV the best of the spin-offs, with Book II not far behind.

Oh, so they finally ended Power Book Fart: FARCE? Finally. Good riddance. What a hilariously moronic naming convention. "Book 2?" "Book 3?" Why even bother with any of these hideous spinoff shows?

Doesn't matter... Power started 15 season ago.. if producers think ANYONE is trying a show for the first time after 15 seasons of history, they are delusional.. it ALL looks EXACTLY the same from the outside. I'm sure it's not and storylines are unique.. but it LOOKS like the same things over and over just under the guise of "Book [whatever]". Kill 'em all.. there's a far FAR FAR greater chance of garnering new viewers without beating some show that started 15 seasons ago to death. But then.. originally for 50¢ ain't exactly his thang.. is it.

The original Power will always be the best. I started watching the spinoff shows especially this one and Book ll but I lost interest because the main characters weren’t as interesting as Ghost’s character.

Book IV is the weak link. I like Tommy, but this show is miles from the original Power. I will watch season 3, but only because I watch the other shows. Time to wrap the Power universe.
