The sci-fi dramedy has found a new home.

USA Network has renewed Resident Alien for a fourth season. Coming two months after its Season 3 finale, the news will see the sci-fi dramedy move to its new home on USA Network from Syfy, where it aired its first three seasons.
The hour-long series premiered in 2021 and it has since served as a reliable cable performer. Its most recent season averaged a total of 3.3 million viewers and 1 million in the 18-49 demographic across all platforms through 35 days.
Based on the Dark Horse comic of the same name, Resident Alien follows an alien named Harry that has crash landed on Earth with a mission to kill all humans. He decides to pass himself off as a small-town doctor to mix in among the people, but things get tricky when he gets pulled into solving a local murder and realizes he needs to assimilate further into his new surroundings. As he does this, Harry starts to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his mission and begins wondering if humans might be worth saving.

Good news! This show has sagged a bit, but the creators keep coming up with ideas and parodies that make it interesting. The comic book panels accompanying the credits make the show worth watching all by themselves. And you have to love the cast.

I'm glad it's returning but the move makes me think NBC is going to kill Syfy like they killed NBCSN a couple of yrs ago. The streaming grift is killing off basic cable.

Omg!!! This show is HANDS DOWN the BEST
Thing streaming right now! It’s BRILLIANT and FUNNY! Harry is the Funniest Tv character since Mork from Ork… not to say they are anything alike…. But the BRILLIANCE in the Performance is OUTSTANDING!!! Thank you to the writers!!! Brilliantly written!!!!

SO glad this got picked up for another season. We got to see Alan Tudyk at a Comic Con and he is eccentric and hilarious and just so nice. And he expressed how much he loves this show and this character and he was concerned whether it was returning. YAY for him to continue on as Harry!

I really appreciate and love the residents alien show with Harry and the doctor female and they should continue with the storyline from season two end and the end of season three to pick up from their to start on season four keep moving forward and no renewal on season four for residents alien show at all
