Syfy announced today that Resident Alien has been picked up for a third season. The good news comes midway through the dramedy's sophomore run, which is slated to return from its midseason break on August 10.
The hour-long series premiered in January 2021, garnering favorable reviews and healthy ratings. Its momentum has continued in Season 2, where it currently ranks as one of the 15 most-watched shows on cable.
Based on the Dark Horse comic, Resident Alien follows an alien named Harry that has crash landed on Earth with a mission to kill all humans. He decides to pass himself off as a small-town doctor to mix in among the people, but things get tricky when he gets pulled into solving a local murder and realizes he needs to assimilate further into his new surroundings. As he does this, Harry starts to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his mission and begins wondering if humans might be worth saving.
Look for Season 3 of Resident Alien in 2023.

If only it has enough large fanbase, I bet many would complain about many aspects that got changed in the series, e.g. starting with how the alien looks.
I just hope the stories don't run out of gas.
As for idiocy, Huh? is putting out some disinformation. You can't get lower than idiot based on the scientific description, and I would probably clock those both sides of the argument as imbecilic.
No matter what anyone does / what policies are in place, people will illegally enter this country just like the vast majority of people will eventually travel over the speed limit or jaywalk. Reagan allowed illegal immigrants to become citizens / Clinton made stricter immigration restrictions. We're all here to enjoy the good times, and this bipartisan crap is annoying.
