It is being reported that AMC Networks has cancelled Orphan Black: Echoes after just one season. The news comes less than a month after the sci-fi drama wrapped its 10-episode freshman run on AMC and BBC America.
A spin-off of 2013's 'Orphan Black,' which ran for five seasons, the series is set in the near future, following a group of women who weave their way into each other's lives and embark on a journey that will unravel the mystery of their identity and uncover a wrenching story of love and betrayal.

The original show was brilliant. I highly recommend it. This was ok , but it was too far away from the original series timewise. Sequels work best the year after a show ends and no real tie in doomed it .

I quit watching after they introduced lesbians into the story line. I suspect others were disappointed that writers/producers can't just tell a story without pandering to the LGBTQ+ community.

Disappointed to hear this. I thought the first season was pretty good. It was a bit slow to get going, but once it did, it was quite good. The tie-ins to the original, and the occasional cameos from some of the originals characters was a nice touch. Krysten Ritter was great, and it was all set up for a great second season. Oh well, seems like the trend lately... hook the viewers, then leave them hanging with no ending...

The hook was in the title. I watched 4 episodes and I was hoping they would do a tie-in to the original Orphan Black. I did not like the story line and it was obvious that the actress Keeley Hawes was having a difficult time hiding her English accent.
This show was a waste of time, like most shows on AMC. That is why I cancelled AMC+.

I thought it was a little weak in the middle, but I enjoyed the show overall. I was sure there would be a 2nd season. The 3 actresses who played the clones were really good. Ritter always kills it and Amanda Fix was also great. The negative was Kira Manning's character. I just could not get into her. This is why I hate investing in new shows with continuing storylines. Except for the Walking dead, AMC leaves you hanging more often than not.

I knew that was coming, got lost on this series about 3 episodes in. Nothing can replace the original.

No surprise. First season was barely watchable.
