Netflix announced today that Beef has been renewed for a second season. It has been over a year-and-a-half since the dark comedy released its freshman run, which was thought at the time to be a one-off miniseries. The show now becomes an anthology, with a new cast and storyline.
The first season followed a struggling contractor who is involved in a road rage incident with an unfulfilled entrepreneur. What ensues is a feud that brings out their darkest impulses and consumes their lives.
In Season 2, a young couple witnesses an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner. Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny have been tapped to star.
