Plans have changed for the fantasy comedy's final run.
October 24, 2024
It is being reported that Good Omens will no longer be getting a full third season to conclude its story. Prime Video has altered their plans for the fantasy comedy's already-ordered final run, changing it from a full season to a single 90-minute episode.
The change of plans comes following allegations of sexual assault against creator Neil Gaiman, which caused production of the show to be paused back in September. Word is that Gaiman will not be involved with the production of the final episode, though he did contribute to its writing. Filming is expected to begin in early 2025.
Based on Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's 1990 novel of the same name, the series follows a fussy Angel who forms an unlikely alliance with a loose-living Demon. They have both become attached to their life on Earth, and therefore must team up to try and stop the impending Armageddon. To do that, they have to find the missing Antichrist - an 11-year-old boy who has no clue he is meant to bring the end of days upon humanity.

It's a bummer to see a good series end this way because of the behaviour of the writer/director/producer, etc. I wouldn't have minded a few more seasons of this.

Well ,it may be true about gaimen ( writer) or not. He is a massive talent. And if there is proof of rape , then his career is finished probably . But it did not hurt child predator director roman polansky even though he fled.
Well acktually

There is no "guilty until proven innocent" issue here. A studio can choose to work or not work with anyone they want for any reason. Studios have let people go for things like infidelity, appearing naked in a magazine (see Jessica Biel and 7th Heaven), etc.
You're holding a corporate entity to the standards of individuals, and that's not how it works. Some right to work states can let people go for minor things, and it has zero to do with standards in a court of law. Stop pretending you don't know this. Gaiman's life isn't ruined by the way...he has plenty of fans (and defenders, like you) and million of dollars. He's going to be fine.

An allegation is just that. People have their careers ruined forever without an actual conviction of anything.

Gotta love the guilty until proven innocent mentality…
It’s acceptable until it’s you.
That being said, hopefully they do the series justice with this 90 minute episode… season one was good… Season two was OK
