The CW announced today that it has picked up the third season of Sullivan's Crossing. The news comes ahead of tonight's sophomore finale. And like Season 2, The CW will again be partnerning with Reel World Management, Bell Media's CTV and Freemantle for Season 3.
"I am beyond thrilled that we get to continue telling this beautiful story about love and family with this extraordinary cast," said creator, showrunner and executive producer Roma Roth. "The love and support from both the fans and The CW has been overwhelming, and we can't wait to show them what we have in store next."
"We are so excited to return to Sullivan's Crossing next year for a third season," said Brad Schwartz, President, The CW Network. "Roma, this talented cast, and the entire creative team have built an incredible world full of emotionally charged storytelling that has resonated with viewers over the last two years. And tonight's season finale includes a can't-miss cliffhanger that will leave fans clamoring for more."
Based on the New York Times best-selling book series by Robyn Carr, Sullivan's Crossing follows Maggie Sullivan, a top Boston neurosurgeon whose personal and professional life are turned upside down after her business partner is indicted for fraud and she is charged with negligence. Deciding to leave the city, Maggie returns home to a campground in Nova Scotia run by her estranged father, where she must navigate her complicated present while confronting the painful past she has ignored for years. When Maggie meets a mysterious stranger there, the two initially butt heads until he starts to grow on her, which only complicates things as she must choose between moving back to Boston and a life in Sullivan's Crossing.
Look for Season 3 in 2025.
