The veteran spinoff will end after six seasons.
March 4, 2025
It is being reported that FBI: Most Wanted has been cancelled by CBS after six seasons. Also getting the ax today was 'FBI: International,' leaving just the original 'FBI' as the only entry in the franchise left on the air.
The move is somewhat surprising, as the two spinoffs did garner respectable ratings for the network. It was less than a year ago that the CBS was touting their All-FBI Tuesday programming block as "a powerful force to be reckoned with on our primetime schedule." There were suspicions raised, however, when neither show was renewed a couple of weeks ago when CBS announced nine renewals for next season.
FBI: Most Wanted follows the Fugitive Task Force, which relentlessly tracks and captures the most-notorious criminals on the FBI's Most Wanted list. Veteran agent Jess LaCroix and his highly-skilled field team pursue those who are desperately working to elude being brought to justice.

When Julian left the show, I thought Dylan McDermott would be a good addition to the show. Boy did I change my mind. His character, Remy, was overly arrogant, disrespectful, rude, distrusting… even towards his team. He was a sourpuss and a jerk. He yelled and argued a lot. He constantly used derogatory slang when referring to ‘persons of interest’ such as “sonuvabitch”. He was terribly unprofessional. And with him being one of the shows producers, I guess he liked portraying Remy in that way. I didn’t like it.

So sick of tv shows being cancelled for a pilot. Especially ones with huge ratings. CBS is the worst! No one (fans or actors) wanted blue bloods or either of these FBI’s to end, and even going back to NCIS Hawaii…. To bring in NCIS Sydney, FBI CIA, Boston Blue from Blue. bloods. Even Hawaii 5-0!
So frustrating!

I was down on this show previously, and then last night they aired one of their best episodes. It was simple but emotional, and every character had a reason for being there.
It's a shame some of the cast will probably not be folded into the main FBI show. One of them might make a good partner for Scola.

Very disappointing. Loved FBI night. Liked International and Most Wanted better than original anymore. Original FBI storylines have whatever the case is also mirrors one of the team somehow. Plus every episode is they say FBI and someone starts running and chase ensues. What will CBS air now, more reality TV? Very disappointing.

I actually did like this a bit more then International and i think the original is more "stale" then the 2 spin offs, so i am kinda sad especially as i like everything with Dylan in it. Too bad to see both spinoffs canned same day/season....

I betcha it was the budget. International spent a lot filming overseas; Most Wanted seemed to film a lot of onsite locations -- whether it was New England or Philadelphia, etc. FBI is mostly central to New York unless they get a lead to another state, which isn't every episode. Remy I can take or leave, but I like the other characters on Most Wanted and wish they had at least given it a season to wrap up. CBS seems to do a lot of knee jerk reaction cancellations.

They tried to get a full night out of "The FBI" franchise and it bombed. Nothing more needs to be said.

I liked the initial cast and the show back then. After them leaving, I was just waiting to watch something else (or nothing at all).
Of note, the equipment used on all three FBI series whereas (I think) the FBI would be a bit more consistent regarding firearms and body armor, even if one unit is based in Hungary.
Recommendation, get some extenal body armor carriers instead of mostly wearing carriers made for concealment, but worn on the outside.

Glad this one is gone. If they would have gotten somebody better than Remy I would be upset it was cancelled.

Makes sense….FBI CIA is in the works. Will miss Most Wanted for sure though.
