No Season 3 for the late-night comedy series.

Word is out that CBS has cancelled After Midnight after two seasons. Taylor Tomlinson, who has hosted the show since its debut last year, has said she wants to leave the show so she can focus on touring. Apparently the network was planning on renewing it for a third season but will now instead no longer offer programming in the 12:30am time slot.
"Hosting After Midnight has genuinely been the experience of a lifetime, and I'll be forever grateful for the opportunity to be part of this incredible journey," said Tomlinson in a statement. "Though it was an extremely tough decision, I knew I had to return to my first passion and return to stand-up touring full-time. I appreciate CBS, Stephen Colbert, the producers, and the entire After Midnight staff and crew for all the love, support, and unforgettable memories."
Inspired by Comedy Central's Emmy Award-winning series "@midnight," the late-night comedy series features a panel of guests from the worlds of entertainment, comedy, music and beyond. Episodes center around what set the Internet abuzz that day, with a game show feel.

All 81 eps of season 2 have been worse.. they ruined the original "flavor" of the show by adding an announcer, title graphics, the actual couch.... and CLEARLY scripts for everyone - perhaps loose outline scripts.. but it was CLEAR the panelist had foreknowledge of the jokes they'd need so they could write segmented jokes. So many times you see a panelist look down at the prepared joke list they have. It was no longer an off-the-cuff show.
I like Taylor... the quote that she decided to leave is spin.. marketing spin... I firmly believe she'd do this show until she could no longer stand.. then they'd get her a chair... don't be fooled. It was not Taylor's choice.
Since CBS is not looking to fill the slot with new programming, hopefully they will do something interesting like re-run the entire Late Show with David Letterman series in order.
There are SO many talented comedians everywhere right now.
Find. A. New. Host.
They are often considered as "job-hoppers" and are reported to change jobs more frequently than older generations, seeking fulfillment and a better work-life balance.
This will set a new precedence for night show hosts that usually do theirs for decades before retiring.
