The Morris Chestnut drama will return for a second season.
March 26, 2025
CBS announced today that Watson has been renewed for Season 2. The news comes two months into the medical drama's run.
Since its January debut, the show is averaging 6.79 million viewers each week. Its premiere episode ranks as this season's most-streamed scripted episode of all CBS original series on Paramount+.
Set six months after the death of Sherlock Holmes at the hands of Moriarty, the show stars Morris Chestnut as Holmes' friend and partner Dr. John Watson, who resumes his medical career as the head of a clinic dedicated to treating rare disorders. Watson can't fully escape his old life, though, as he and Moriarty are set to write their own chapter of a story that has fascinated audiences for more than a century.
Look for Season 2 of Watson during the 2025-2026 broadcast season.

I get why some people are really trashing this. Like most totally unique shows that are completely original, seems like viewers either love it or hate it. But, I gotta say, there's nothing else on t.v. like it, and for once they've come up with a show that isn't either a reboot, or totally following some old formula that we've all seen a thousand times. So far, it's been well worth watching! Glad to see that for once they're gonna stick with it for a second season, and not just cancel it for being too unique!

Surprised. Just watched the last episode and I thought "this show has nowhere to go". Absurd premise, the characters are not relatable, all petty and bickering with each other... Is the negative version of House.

He lives.
I hope Plop is just kidding/trolling.
Because if not, I would suggest turning off the tv and picking up a book.

Absolute nonsense. Not coherent enough to even be called garbage. Corny, trite, and hackneyed "acting" with unrealistic dialog. What a colossal waste of time.

After the cancelations of Blue Bloods and Swat, I will never watch a new broadcast show again on CBS. Even Survivor's season premiere was the lowest rated ever. I may check this show out when it comes to DVD and I can get it free from the library. F.U. CBS for dumping high rated and high quality shows. P.S. FUCK YOU AMY!!!

Woke trash. Race swap of an iconic character, while giving another iconic character a stupid tragic death.
