No Season 4 for the fantasy drama.
May 23, 2025
It is being reported that Prime Video has cancelled The Wheel of Time after three seasons. The news comes just over a month after the fantasy drama wrapped its now-final 8-episode run.
The series premiered in 2021, garnering a generally positive reception from critics, plus strong viewership that ranked it as one of the streamer's top five debuts of all time. While the show continued to earn high praise in subsequent seasons, its most recent audience numbers weren't large enough to financially justify a fourth season.
Based on Robert Jordan's novel series, The Wheel of Time follows Moiraine, a member of the Aes Sedai, an order of women who can channel the power of magic. Looking to locate the latest reincarnation of the Dragon, the light's champion, she guides a group of young people on a journey around the world, believing one of them could be the powerful individual prophesied to save the world - or destroy it.

Shame we don't get to see the ending it deserved.
Did you mean’ ‘Freedom loving, believes humans have rights, cares for others, supports American values." I notice you shortened to the common term ‘leftist" or did you mean "Not supporting of the right wing brain washing and freedom stealing propaganda." You kinda left it vague as to what definition of leftist you meant.
@martin
Your just a brainwashed racist
Story line was complicated. Perhaps one needed to read the books first.
Finally started explaining things in the 3rd season that probably should have been at least hinted at in the 1st.
The only thing I really got out of it was that in the broken future pretty much all females were lesbians. Perhaps that's just a Jordan desire.
But, after a certain number of seasons, a show should at least have a few episodes to wrap things up nicely.
God forbid someone do what Peter Jackson did; Take an existing property and treat it with reverence. Rafe took The Wheel of Time, and instead of honoring it, he changed it to fit what he wanted the message to be. By doing so, he turned it into unwatchable dreck.
When will these production companies learn that you have to honor the source material and hire competent people who want to honor the source material?
