The Taylor Sheridan drama earns an early pickup.
December 5, 2025
Paramount+ announced today that Landman has been renewed for a third season. The early pickup comes just three episodes into the drama's sophomore run, which is off to a strong start for the streamer.
Its premiere on November 16th garnered over 9.2 million views in its first two days, which is a 262% increase over its series debut. It is also set to be a top three series among all original content for the week of November 17th and a top two series for the week of November 24th according to Nielsen preliminary data.
Based on the 11-part podcast "Boomtown" from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly, the series is set in the boomtowns of West Texas, following the upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling an oil boom so big it has the power to reshape the climate, the economy, and geopolitics.

Without Taylor Sheridan, current TV wouldn't be worth watching.

There's nothing like a Taylor Sheridan rant voiced by Billy Bob Thornton to make my day. Most of the rest of the series is pure soap, but highly watchable soap.

Great show. The second season is very good. .and we are getting a third. This show is based on the real scene down there in Texas. Every Sunday is landman day for me . Just like every wednesday. Is palm Royale day and Friday is the awesome pluribus day .

I agree season one was better then season two so far. This season is moving slow. It is still a really good show with a good cast. I will be watching as long as it is on.

.. meh.. really liked season 1.. but season two feels like it's dragging thus far. It could get better so I'll continue watching, but really, without Ali Larter, and her apparent psychotic character,.. each episode would be drudgery. Don't give a shit if Moore and Garcia are in it... it all hinges on the writing....

I have not watched season 2 yet, I like to binge watch seasons. That being said, I am excited for season 2 with Sam Elliott and Andy Garcia with Billy Bob and Demi Moore. Will watch season 3 as well.
