BET announced today that Tyler Perry's Sistas has been picked up for a tenth season. The news comes ahead of tonight's Season 9 finale, and the wait for the new season won't be long as a premiere date of January 7 has already been set.

The hour-long series has continued to perform well for the cable network, maintaining its rank as the top scripted cable series among Black audiences aged 18-49 for the fifth consecutive year.
