No Season 3 for 'The Boys' spinoff.

Word is out that Amazon's Prime Video has cancelled Gen V after two seasons. The news comes six months after the superhero drama wrapped its sophomore run. Parent series 'The Boys' is currently in its final season and will be ending next month. Fans of the franchise still have another entry to look forward to, though, as prequel series 'Vought Rising' is on track to launch in 2027.
"While we wish we could keep the party going another season at Godolkin, we're committed to continuing the Gen V characters' stories in The Boys season five and other VCU projects on the horizon. You'll see them again," said executive producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg in a joint statement.
A spinoff of 'The Boys,' Gen V follows a group of competitive young heroes attending the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting. They are the first generation to know about Compound V, and that their powers come from an injection rather than being God-given. These superheroes put their physical and moral boundaries to the test as they vie for the school's highly-coveted top ranking. But when the university's dark secrets come to light, they'll learn that the difference between right and wrong isn't always clear, forcing them to come to terms with the type of heroes want to become.

@Plop Funny how you conservatives only care about "free speech" when it's about spewing hate but want to censor anything you consider "woke". Accountability isn't censorship, bubbles. And "free speech" is NOT freedom from consequence.

If you think nobody is trying to end public media (i.e. taking away funding for NPR, PBS, VOA, NWS, EPA, USFS, ect) Then there campaign to suppress the truth is working. I'm guessing because you don't know that they hiding facts from you, you won't stop them.
I do agree though. Gen V was left leaning and the Boys is better about the same situations, but Travis didn't say anything like that. they simply said woke. If they can't explain why then they are just spouting right-wing talking points mindlessly. At this point the word woke has come to mean " It has people of other races telling their stories and that scares me. That shouldn't be allowed." If it was used with a reason to back it up people might not have seen it as a racist code word, but right-wingers allowed it to be taken over so they lost it power.

lol @ Travis. For 4 years under Biden we had extreme censorship on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc. Anyone with a conservative viewpoint was banned and had their posts deleted. But I suppose that was ok, right?

As far as Gen-V, I can look past the left leaning antics, as long as they keep it to a minimum and give me a quality show. The Boys is doing that, Gen-V was meh, but two seasons served it's purpose.

Wasn't too woke. It just spoke truth to power and that must have scared you. People that are scared of the truth tend to say "It was woke." Its why the right wing is trying to end public media. It tells the truth and with truth they can't keep the masses brainwashed.

I wonder if the reason it got cancelled was because many people didn't even know the new season had been released. I just now learned that season 2 ENDED 6 months ago. I also just discovered that the new season of The Boys has started. Amazon sucks at marketing.
