A drama following a forensic anthropologist with an uncanny ability to read clues left behind in a victim's bones.

Inspired by real-life forensic anthropologist and novelist Kathy Reichs, Dr. Temperance Brennan is called upon to assist law enforcement with challenging murder investigations when the discovered remains are so badly decomposed or destroyed that the standard identification methods are useless.

Brennan teams with Special Agent Seeley Booth, a former Army sniper who disagrees with the use of science as a primary way to solve crimes. While Brennan and Booth clash both professionally and personally at first, they come to develop a chemistry that grows over time and makes them a formidable team.

This is the best forensics show, on tv, hands down. Great characters with in depth, complicated and interesting relationships. Especially between Bones and Booth. They are so opposite from each other, but instead of fighting about it they compromise causing each of them to be more open minded and appreciate their differences. Plus, their love and trust in each other shows how love can overcome anything. Also, each episode is so amazingly interesting, intriguing and unique. All the high tech gadgets at the Smithsonian and how they team together, always leaves me wanting more.

@ Spirit. Apparently your IQ isn't high enough to check your spelling before you post. What's MESA?

I've missed Bones. The last season wasn't as good as in the previous years, but still better than most. Really love the supporting cast. Hope the program will continue, but wish all these shows wouldn't take such long a long hiatus, almost lose interest waiting on their return, what with such a short new season run. Used to be like school, take a couple months off, then back with new shows in fall. Now it's new shows for 1-2 months then take 9-10 months off! I keep saying I'm going to get rid of tv, but....

I look forward to each new episode. I appreciate Bones no nonsense answers even though I don't always know a particular word or subject. I was an EMT in my earlier days and love programs that show me more than the first responder/police point of view. I also like the archaeologist information (regarding how other people live, etc.)
Please keep this program going.

@Randy
Do not be so quick to judge MESA men and women. I have a high IQ and I do not speak like "Bones", but I can relate to them.
Seems to me that you never have been around MENSA personalities a day in your life. High IQ men and women think a little differently than you do! Have you ever viewed any interviews with Kathy Reichs? I think not. This show works because of how Temperance "Bones" Brennan works with Seeley Booth, and how the supporting characters help "Bones" relate and interact with the "common everyday folks". MENSA people are and can be tricky to understand without stopping and pausing for a minute to think what they are trying to say to you. Their responses may seem "dry" to some us, but to to them it is not.
Besides being a REAL GREAT forensics show. Also, the character interactions and back story completes and makes the characters 3-dimentional... needless to say fun to watch.Cheers!

Stupid Show. She is a psychopath and he is a moron. Running around putting people in custody with out probable cause.Holding preople agains their will because he has a hunch. He would get sued at least once a show and probably end up in prison. The "Jeffersonian" would be sued into insolvency in nothing flat and with cause. "Bones" has all the empathy and compassion of a dead fish. Go look up the definition of psychopathy and it has her picture in it. This needs to be canceled, quick!

LUV BONES!! This show just keeps getting better and better. Especially loved the "Homeless Vet" Episode....It really addressed some of the problems that are in this country....and shows us that we still have compassion.
LUV BONES!!
