A sitcom based on the Twitter feed "S*** My Dad Says", which was created by Justin Halpern and is filled with quotes said by his father.
Ed is an opinionated and divorced 72-year-old man. His two sons - Henry and Vince - are both adults and over the years have become very accustomed to his unsolicited rants, which are often politically incorrect.
When Henry, a struggling writer who also blogs, can't afford to pay his rent any longer, he's forced to move back in with his dad, which creates more issues in their already tricky father-son relationship.
During one of Henry's job interviews, Ed interrupts with one of his usual irrational phone calls. This catches the ear of the interviewer, who ends up hiring Henry, but also forces him to remain living with his dad so he can keep writing about his rantings.

IT was a funny show. And they should have given it a better time slot.

I loved this show. It never should of been canceled. Very few shows make me genuinely laugh but this show did.

The book almost gave me a coronary, there is no way the t.v format could possibly come close to capturing the cynical essence of the material and still pass muster with the broadcast commission. Regardless of whom played who, the magic just wasn't there, after all, the book wasn't written as comedy but as a heartfelt plea to have the world understand one young man's insane trip from childhood to manhood.

AMAZING SHOW...FABULOUS CAST..NEVER SHOULD OF BEEN CANCELLED. At least I can still follow him on Twitter!!!

Sucks that this was cancelled the interaction between ed and his son was hilarious. The only thing that needed to be tweak were the two from mad tv, their parts were boring and not funny and at times seemed like two different shows. In my mind that's what brought the show down i would fast forward through their parts of the show half way through the season to avoid being bored by stupid humor.

Jonathan Sadowski is very talented and I look forward to his next work. As for the show, it was silly yet enjoyable. I'm not surprised that CBS pulled the plug. Parts of the episodes I watched seemed like they were phoned in. No offense to the actors but the writers might seek out their mistakes for future attempts at comedy...

Very disappointed to find that "$#*! My Dad" was cancelled. Thought that Ed (William Shattner) was a very funny & lovable old character!
