A period drama following an aristocratic family in the post-Edwardian era.
Downton Abbey is the Yorkshire country house of the Earl and Countess of Grantham, where the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants reside during the reign of King George V.

This is a great show - I have them all.
Plus every episode of Have Gun Will Travel. The McCoys, Criminal Minds, Every Star Trek, and Every ... and the list goes on. 6,000 episode and 5,000 movies. Who knew there was four versions of 39 steps. Movies and TV are my life... and reading - more than 66,000 eBooks.

I love this show. For People who think that we live in a Goldfish Bowl here in England well, guess what we don't. I love Downton Abbey but I also love the shows you lot love as well. I do watch more American TV than British. But don't dis Downton or I'll get Maggie Smith on You.

I was a huge fan and watched every episode most more than once. I am regretfully going to stop watching and going to put my first 3 season bluray sets on sale. The urbanisation and stupid outcry for diversity in this show have lost me. Listen before every liberal gets on there high horse and cries about there being Africans in England in the 1920's yes there was but a very very minute amount. I'm tired of all this complaining that something can not be any good on tv unless there's black people in it !!!! There about 18% of the U.S. population and are about 80% of the people seen on tv. If you would like more diversity how about adding White,Latino or Asian actors to all black movies or tv shows because there are plenty of those on tv...

Love, love, love Downton Abbey! I couldn't wait 'til 1/5/14 - got myself comfy on the couch and just settled in to all the wonderful characters! Happy to know it's renewed for Season 5!
