A drama following the flight crew of Pan American World Airways during 1963.
Welcome to the Jet Age, where passenger airplanes fly people across the world at 30,000 feet. Air travel embodies luxury, and Pan Am is the Number One name in the business thanks to its fancy plans, studly pilots, and gorgeous stewardesses.
But it takes more than just good looks to represent this airline. The Pan Am crew has to be educated, refined, and cultured. They are trained to handle anything and everything that can happen in-flight. And in Pan Am, anything and everything does.

ABC finally comes out with PanAm, a really entertaining TV program that gets someone like me, who had given up on network television, to watch again, only to cancel it. Unbelievable how cheap low quality reality shows survive and good entertainment gets cancelled. Back to watching movies, sports and premium channel programming, without commercials. My advice is to bring back PanAm. If not, goodbye ABC.

Pan Am is a great TV show. I will certainly miss watchng it. Perhaps the network should rethink what they have done. The scripts reminded me about what the world thought of us, the standards that we all strove to achieve. I for one am certainly tired of the many reality shows that are offered to us as good entertainment.

ABC stands for "Always Being Cancelled". I'm tires of spending my time watching good shows only to hear they are cancelled. Especially from this network. Pan Am was great!

I was with Eastern in the 60s, and thought Pan Am really showed what travel was like back then. I will miss this show, and hate that it is being cancelled.

This makes me REALLY sad!!! What is this network thinking? I, too, looked forward to Sunday nights because of this show. The networks really DO need to take notice of "Boomer" preferences. We truly are a force to be reckoned with!

Now that HBO seems to cleaning out all their shows, maybe they can pick up Pan AM! I'm sur it's cheaper to produce than their other shows like True Blood an Game of Thornes. Plus, with no censors, the storylines can be bolder (no I'm not saying mil high club stuff). Hey could expand on the spying stories more.

I am sorry to hear that ABC cancelled Pan Am. I grew up flying during this time since my Dad worked for TWA and had planned on becoming a stewardess myself. I refuse to watch the reality shows and enjoyed reflecting on the past that Pan Am provided. The details of the uniforms and the training was amazing, it was if you were really flying in the 1960's. The scripts were good as were the actors especially since many of them were virtually unknown.

Baby boomers are very disappointed that the network executives cancelled Pan Am. Why don't you understand that we hate the reality shows and love nostalgia. After all, we are the majority of tv viewers. Please find a way to put Pan Am back on TV.
