A drama following a mysterious woman who arrives in the Hamptons to seek revenge on those who destroyed her family.
Emily Thorne has recently arrived in the wealthy town of the Hamptons. In settling into her new surroundings, she has introduced herself to her neighbors and made some friends.
However there is something not quite right about a young girl living alone in such a place. In actuality, Emily isn't really new to the neighborhood after all. She lived here once until something terrible happened that destroyed her family and their reputation.
With her return, Emily is hoping to right some of those wrongs by extracting revenge on those responsible.

I have loved the show from the beginning but it seems to be becoming more and more complicated with the addition of too many characters and new plots. Plus I do wish they would speak up, slow down and not mumble so much - they are very difficult to understand at times. Good thing i DVR it so i can hit reverse to find out what they are talking about!

@AFan, there's nothing wrong with all the things you've listed, with Emily being a liar, breaking the law etc. It is a Series, and it is supposed to survive, obviously Emily will change but not now. Maybe she will change in season 5 or season 8. It really doesn't matter what is important is that I will be watching for the next 5 to 7 years to come.
Shows that start out slow, and keep up building up last longer than those that keeps you guessing and glued with every episode. This show will last longer than most shows including Arrow and Beauty and the Beast.
