A drama where prisoners who mysteriously vanished from Alcatraz decades ago reappear in the present.
Rebecca is a San Francisco police detective who discovers that a fingerprint found on a homicide victim belongs to a former Alcatraz prisoner who died decades in the past.
When she runs into resistance looking into her discovery, Rebecca turns to an expert on Alcatraz prison to help her piece together the mystery that is slowly unraveling.
Their investigation reveals that the prisoner in question is actually still alive and loose on the streets of San Francisco. What's more, is that he may not be the only prisoner from Alcatraz to reappear in the present.

Every time I get embedded with a show, It gets cancelled, but the stupid and banal ones stay on TV for several seasons. Will we ever going to learn what is good and what is bad on TV?

Another great show can eked for no reason. It was original and had great twists and now I'm left wondering what the plans were for a season that isn't happening and I've waited monthes to see again. I'm sick of show getting canceled and more reality dance and talents shows being their competition. Fox get a clue!!

I was just thinking, wasn't Alcatraz up against "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday night? Alcatraz aired on Monday nights here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. FOX wonders why the ratings were not that good. Why not try it on another night and allow the show to gain momentum and get a true assessment of the shows capabilities.

This was the one show I stayed home to watch each week. The series was riviting, had great storylines and good actors. FOX should keep in mind that The family Guy was cancelled as well then went to DVD before realizing their error and putting it back on the air. Alcatraz was removed way too quickly; reminds me of another show that was cancelled before just before syndication; anyone remember Quantum Leap. Lets hope FOX wakes up and gives this prodcution another year to prove itself as it has already done for so many frustrated fans.

Just goes to show why all these networks suck and cant even keep a CEO. You go through shows like you do CEOs. Once a year. Its not even worth watching and committing to anything anymore because your stupid A$$ ratings are off. This is why I dont waste my time watching anything new anymore. It gets cancelled. HOw many shows actually have series finales now a days?????

R U SERIOUS! !! THIS IS THE SECOND MAJOR SHOW THAT U ALL CANCELED. WOW.SO UNFAIR. FOX U ARE LOSING ALOT OF MONEY AT PATRONS.HOW UPSETTING. THE OTHER SHOW WAS ABOUT REBUILDING OUR PLANET AND HAD DINOSAURS. MY FAMILY ENJOYED THAT ONE AND ALCATRAZ. COME ON BRING IT BACK.
