A drama following a man caught between two realities.
Since his car accident, detective Michael Britten's mind has created two realities in which his wife survived in one and his son survived in the other. At any given moment, he is not sure if he is awake or asleep - one minute he's awake with his wife, and at the blink of an eye he is awake with his son. With people in both realities assuring him he is not dreaming, he must now try and find out which reality - if any - is real.

Please say it isn't so! Love this show. Plots are inricate. Jason Isaacs is fantastic in this part. I just discovered this show. Please reconsider and give it another chance.

NBC needs to reconsider. Contact them and let them know you are disappointed with their poor decision to cancel AWAKE.

I love this show!! I too watch it weekly on Demand. I can't believe this is being cancelled. This is a great show with a great story line.

Can't believe they're cancelling this show! It's on too late for me, as I have a long early-morning commute, but I always watch it On Demand on the weekends. Do they get a chance to wrap it up, or are fans just going to be left wondering what was real and what was a dream? If NBC must cancel this one, then I demand some closure!!

At this point, I don't expect anything less from NBC. Just remember, this is the same network that cancelled Life, then was too cheap to put the original background music on the DVD's. If a show is intelligent, well written and acted, it doesn't stand a chance on NBC.

I rarely watch any network t.v.; instead, mostly Netflix. This was one show that kept my interest. Jason Isaacs is a terrific actor who made the Det. Britton character believable and compelling. With all the trash on t.v., why cut this one?

I liked the show until the teenage son started fornicating. Now I can barely stand to watch it."
So how do you think YOU came into existence?
"Fornication" should only be used in ONE instance and that instance is when talking about the great CALIFORNICATION.
Otherwise, it just makes you look terribly OLD and OUT OF TOUCH with REALITY.
Just sayin'.

One of the few shows that was really worth watching.

Awake artfully kept going and, once the basic premise is accepted, artfully and realistically kept the "real life" story going. The police drama was secondary to the reality of coping with crisis. This was a truly superior soap opera. The acting is great! Why was it cancelled, was no one interested in how it could be resolved? Look how long "How I met your Mother" has been taking. WEhy not give this a summer reprieve for resolution at least.
