A drama following a man caught between two realities.
Since his car accident, detective Michael Britten's mind has created two realities in which his wife survived in one and his son survived in the other. At any given moment, he is not sure if he is awake or asleep - one minute he's awake with his wife, and at the blink of an eye he is awake with his son. With people in both realities assuring him he is not dreaming, he must now try and find out which reality - if any - is real.

Again, another interesting show cancelled by NBC. Really there are only so many reality shows that we can watch...or not watch. TV should encourage people to use their brain and remember things from week to week. It really isn't that hard to do. Get behind your shows. Believe in the show enough to build the audience. AGT in the summer is great, but keep the interesting shows that we can use brain power on in the winter.

I agree that it ended abruptly. The last episode was cruising along just fine - and then, that lame ending. I think it's not impossible, though, for it to continue, with the same writers, as they've shown themselves to be inventive and surprising. My guess is that they just thought, "well, okay, is this is what the network thinks of our hard work, we'll just dump a typical, predictable ending on them" - the kind that good authors say you're never supposed to use, because it's a cop out.

JL, Agreed also came to the same conclusion, possibly his in a coma and family ok, Agreed potential for so much!!!! The Networks has poor judgment and we the masses suffer!!! Bring back Awake!!!

I thought it ended quite abruptly. I thought he might have been in a coma from the wreck and his family was alive. I still wish it would have gone on longer. Great Show!

I HATE almost all of the reality shows save for AGT. Everything is to attract the younger viewer and forget the rest. The more they cancel quality shows, the more the older audience gives up all together leaving more of a younger audience and we know what they want; sex and bad behaviour. Awake was an outstanding series and I did like how they ended it where it could continue, think dream within a dream within a dream. Maybe enough people will complain on this one to revive it. Fingers crossed.

You have got to be kidding this was another of my favorite shows and now its CANCELLED!! I must be on PUNKED or something, because this is just not right!!! Well lets see why it was cancelled, it couldn't be the killer acting, it couldn't be the actors, it couldn't be the writing, it couldn't be the SUSPENSE! Well there it is there is NO REASON why Awake should be cancelled! So bring it back...please!
