Chicago Firehouse 51 is home to noble firefighters and paramedics who look fear in the eye and forge headfirst into dangerous situations in order to help those in need.
These courageous men and women are under pressure to perform at a high level when it's a matter of life and death. Their closeness is like an extended family, but the stress of the job can take its toll on members of the team, putting them at odds with one another. But at the end of the day, everyone is willing to lay it on the line when it counts the most.

I don't know if I missed the end show of last season but what happened to Shay dying in this season premiere? I didn't see that coming. Does anybody know? Did she want off the show or did they just not renew her contract?

I am a career firefighter and really enjoy watching the show week in and week out. PLEASE don't cancel the show. The writers, directors, and producers have done a great job with various story lines and daily challenges on what firefighters face everyday. A firefighters job is challenging day in and day out and every call is different. Stay safe out there and strike the box!!!

YES PLEASE DON'T CANCEL CHICAGO FIRE! This show is nail biting, heart warming and funny. One of the best shows on TV.

Please do not cancel this show. It's the best one running. Chicago PD is not very good. Leave Chicago FIRE alone and quit with the reruns.

Hope NBC reads these comments because they have to know what a good show Chicago Fire is. Not for a long time have I watched a show and was so interested in these characters that I remember each and every one of their names of the show. NBC leave this show alone.....keep it on the air and take some of the silly shows off.
