A musical drama following the creation of a new Broadway show.
In Smash, a writing duo come up with the idea to base a new stage show on Marilyn Monroe. In competition for the role of the iconic lead are an experienced chorus girl and a promising newcomer.

SMASH is the only NBC show I watch. It is fabulous entertainment and brings Broadway to the masses. Shame on you, NBA, for cancelling such a wonderful show.

Smash is a very good quality show unlike all the reality garbage on TV. I am so sad that it has been canceled after only two seasons. Another network should pick it up! The actors are so talented, it has great writing and it gives us a little feel of New York's Broadway for those of us who can't go there often. Please, someone save it!

It still hasn't sunk in that Smash is cancelled, especially after that commercial where Kyle died. The music was absolutely beautiful and has captured so many emotions. I rarely cry when listening to any song and I have cried when listening to the songs of Smash. Cancelling this show is so wrong.

Please, please, please, please, don't cancel SMASH.There are so few good shows on television and every time a good one comes on it is cancelled. Please don't let this happen yet again.!!!!!

Very disappointed that Smash was cancelled. This show needs the time to grow and develop. We need intelligent television, not just contrived reality shows. It took Seinfeld several years to get traction and become successful.

Smash is one of my favorite shows, and I'm pretty disappointed that is been canceled. I really hope that the show will be picked up by another network and comeback, because they have AMAZING actors and singers, an INCREDIBLE story line and one of the best shows on TV this moment. I'm very sad that all of this are happening.

What a shame! A great drama series with genuinely talented performers brought such a breath of fresh air amidst all the reality TV that's become the norm. SO horribly sad to see it canceled.

SMASH was dealt a blow this season after its premier last season. We hung in there, waited for it to be "like last year" and now we are dealt another blow. NBC could have had 2 huge hits, The Voice and SMASH. I am so disappointed in that network.
