Sadly, NBC has cancelled one of the best new shows they have offered in many years- Smash suffered in ratings during second season in large part to the extremely long break between its seasons, and due to the inconsistent airing days- it is quite difficult to accommodate shifts in program scheduling, but I always managed somehow. Smash is a refreshing change from most of what is available, and I hate their second season seemed to have the "deck stacked against them" from the start.
Surely,another network will recognize the value in Smash's audience, and will consider picking up this amazing show!

Very disappointed that NBC cancelled SMASH. We need more shows like this on tv, less reality tv and crime shows please.

After seeing that NBC cancelled SMASH,it really felt like the death of network television programming at our house. Not interested in watching "reality" tv, but looking for entertainment and a release from "reality". Too bad the networks don't feel we deserve good programming and are satisfied not hiring writers or actors and just feeding us the unimaginable garbage their uncreative minds decide to film. So sad...:-(

When I was growing up I was a devoted fan of the ARTS in both school and BROADWAY (I am a native New Yorker). I was in Band, Chorus and Drama. My son attended an ARTS MAGNET school but there are so many schools these days that are ditching the ARTS and that is really sad they need shows like this to show there School Districts how important the ARTS are. Let's just remember if it were not for the ARTS PROGRAMS in schools you would not have your industry.YOU NEED TO BRING SMASH BACK!!!!!!!

Really disappointed that yet another smart show was cancelled. One that at least tried something new, but no here we are with all the crappy reality shows and police dramas and lest I forget the judging shows. Also, I'm sorry, but Glee is not the same as SMASH. Glee is horribly written, immature and I am not a fan of the singing or story line. Smash was so much more sophisticated mature and fun. I hope that some smart network, picks it up and tries to keep the integrity of the show. Please bring it back!

Love Smash, NBC are foolish to cancel it. It was a refreshing change from all the reality crap they seem to be pumping out!!Great music, have purchased it all from itunes, great stroy and terrific cast.....shame, shame,shame

I can't believe they would cancel Smash. It's a decent show on nbc with a loyal fanbase. So what if the ratings are low? If the people still want it, keep it!! It even won the Save One Show campaign, but oh no let's cancel it anyway! What is NBC's problem!?

Donald Trump over Smash?? Really? Go On not renewed? and the New Normal? NBC has got to give some of these shows a chance... They are all wonderful. Think I might be done with NBC....they were my last hold out for decent shows that told stories about people...not cop shows or reality shows. Cable all the way!!

SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED IN NBC FOR CANCELLING SMASH. THESE CAP LOCKS DO NOT EXPRESS THE ANGER I'M FEELING INSIDE. CANNOT NOT BELIEVE NBC WOULD CANCEL SUCH AN AMAZING GENUINE AND UNIQUE SHOW. I BET YOU THEY'LL PROBABLY REPLACE IT WITH SOME NEXT "PLEASE DATE ME" REALITY SHOW... I'M SICK TO MY STOMACH. i hope another network picks it up...

So sick of reality TV and police drama. SMASD+H was finally something different, fun and entertaining. Full of incredible talent.
