A musical drama following the creation of a new Broadway show.
In Smash, a writing duo come up with the idea to base a new stage show on Marilyn Monroe. In competition for the role of the iconic lead are an experienced chorus girl and a promising newcomer.

Smash is by far my favorite show and the Don't Cancel Smash Facebook page has 25,000 supporters who agree. I believe NBC is making a huge mistake by canceling a show that I literally hear people talk about. At work coworkers who I don't even know talk about the show. The idea is masterful, please give it a second chance.

I love Smash and I can't let this show go. It is smart and brilliantly well made. Awesome cast and choreography, just a piece of art in television. Please, bring it back!

NBC has done it again, canceling a great show. Did you ever think you did not have it on a night where you would get the most viewers? Moving it around each week did not work...ugh.
I am sure of one thing, there is no reason for me to tune into NBC anymore.

Please. don't cancel Smash! My tween daughter and I have bonded over this show and love watching on-demand marathons together. And then discussing them to death! Please, please bring it back!

I fell in love with SMASH.... this is the one show that I really could relate to..... I was in musical theatre for awhile... and when this show came on ... I was glued... loved the storylines the characters were colorful.... everything was big and bright... the stage the lights .,, what goes on behind the curtain... was very engrossing to me..... please bring back SMASH... ON NBC or someplace else where we can enjoy it all over again..... soo many people want to see it back ...

If NBC and all of the other networks as well would just stop changing the days and times of when shows actually air that would help matters of ratings tremendously.
Smash is one of the scripted shows that is actually entertaining. It's a shame that NBC will probably just replace it with another sub-par reality show.
It just goes to show how out of touch NBC is with the general public. SMASH is on trend and current and is not just some reheated procedural or reality trash.
Maybe the executives at NBC should be cancelled instead.

I think NBC's decision to cancel SMASH was very foolish, they haven't had such an original Show in decades, the talent in the show is out of this world, maybe some other network will pick it up, it would be perfect for fox since they have Glee and the character of Rachel Berry is trying to make it on Broadway too,. Think it over Mr Murphy and Fox executives, glee's audience is growing up and SMASH is a perfect fit for them.
