A drama following a rancher tasked with restoring order to 1960's Las Vegas.

Inspired by the true story of former Sheriff Ralph Lamb, Vegas follows a fourth-generation rancher tasked with bringing order to Las Vegas in the 1960s, when the city was emerging a gambling and entertainment mecca.

Ralph Lamb just wants to run his ranch in peace, but Las Vegas is a fast-growing city, swelling with outsiders and corruption which intrude on his simple life. When the mayor comes to Lamb for help, recalling his command as a military police officer during World War II, Lamb takes the job of Sheriff and clashes with Vincent Savino, a ruthless big city gangster with his own agenda for Las Vegas.

Now these two powerful men engage in a ferocious battle for control of the budding desert oasis.

We ONLY turned on CBS for this show; have another great idea Hollywood Wiz Kids? the great DNC front network rises to the level of those whose propaganda they support: David Letterman/Charlie Rose & Gayle King/the annoying Jon Cryer & Jim Parsons/ WHAT TRASH! Time to turn off TV for good.

I can see why the good shows are going to A+E,tbs, tnt, and other cable channels, our big 3 or 4 kill off shows before they get a chance to develop a following.I really think cbs shot themselves in the foot,or maybe the butt, again....

Why would you cancel one of the best shows on TV with even giving it change to catch on. I don't get it.. Probably the next to go will be Blue Bloods, Wouldn't be surprised. Let a cable channel pick it up.
So sick of reality shows and dumb talent shows I could puke

I am so sorry that Vegas was canceled. It is a great show. Different. It isn't all action shooting. It is the story of America. It is the story of the clashes between the old and new ways of the town. America used to be this way. I grew up during that era. I would really love to see this renewed. Should have run it as a summer series to get viewers. Also there has been so much going on in sports that would be viewers are watching play offs and championship games. Networks need to look at what the real competition is. For we that don't watch many sports we are being disregarded in what we want. Television needs to change the way they do things. No wonder the computer is becoming the way to watch television. Have their own series. Please give Vegas another chance. It is great. I believe it would have only gotten more complicated in story line. I like complicated. This show was so good. I never missed it. Also quit jumping shows out of their regular time and date. By the time you find the new time and day it is on it is canceled. You television need to listen to your viewers. We know what we want and like.

Sorry to hear Vegas was cancelled - we looked forward to every show - although do agree - enough with the love / bedroom scenes. Stick to business, ie: Law & Order formula works. Folks are not popping in and out of beds.
