A drama following a rancher tasked with restoring order to 1960's Las Vegas.
Inspired by the true story of former Sheriff Ralph Lamb, Vegas follows a fourth-generation rancher tasked with bringing order to Las Vegas in the 1960s, when the city was emerging a gambling and entertainment mecca.
Ralph Lamb just wants to run his ranch in peace, but Las Vegas is a fast-growing city, swelling with outsiders and corruption which intrude on his simple life. When the mayor comes to Lamb for help, recalling his command as a military police officer during World War II, Lamb takes the job of Sheriff and clashes with Vincent Savino, a ruthless big city gangster with his own agenda for Las Vegas.
Now these two powerful men engage in a ferocious battle for control of the budding desert oasis.

so sad. networks keep doing the 'dumbing down' routine with so many STUPID shows. this one was GREAT...maybe they are playing only to the youngest viewers...probably ones who don't understand or don't know the music in this show...na...probably just to make room for the next who's the biggest stupid ass in the room/company/gym/mountain/beachouse - etc, etc, etc

I loved this show! I agree with everyone here....the reality shows are beyond stupid! The Vegas characters were interesting as was the plot from week to week. I do hope another network will pick it up. Pay attention advertisers.....the audience that watches and enjoys reality shows is not the demographic that is buying your products!

Unbelievable that network’s continue to keep shows that are horrific and cancel shows that have real entertainment value. This show is a great show! Solid cast of characters with real storyline potential. They should have never moved it off of Tuesday night. Golden Boy is a hideous show that should be cancelled. CBS should keep this show.

I agree with everyone. when I first heard this was cancelled I was for sure they were wrong. This is a wonderful show. So much better than all the reality shows on that they keep renewing.

I too am disappointed - these reality shows are exactly the opposite of reality!! Amazing race and survivor are unbelievably stupid. It is surprising survivor has lasted this long.

Really? A first class show with first class actors is canceled? It's one of a few shows I watch. This show is like a good game of chess. It's bad enough that my other favorite show 'Fringe' was canceled, now Vegas... What's the use. You fall in love with the show and poof! It's gone.

I am so sick and tired of the Networks cancelling shows that have barely started!! I love VEGAS, and have spent how many hours of my time investing into a show and now they have cancelled it, ALREADY! They don't give anything a chance anymore, except reality shows I guess. It makes me want to cancel the cable and throw the TV into the trash. Hopefully, some other smarter network will pick it up!!

This was an awesome show with a great cast. Again I say the network monkey who decides which shows get another season made a very bad decision. All I have to say is "Bad Monkey!!"

Vegas was my favorite show too. There are a lot of dumb shows without any kind of plot that stay on. I am thinking of not buying anything from the sponsors on CBS because of it being cancelled!!!!!!!!!!
