A drama following a multi-ethnic family with a mix of foster and biological children being raised by two mothers.
Lena and Stef are an interracial married lesbian couple who are raising Stef's biological son from a previous marriage along with adoptive twins.
When Lena meets troubled teen Callie, the family welcomes her into their home, not knowing that their lives will be disrupted in unexpected ways.

I LOVEEEEEEEEEEE THIS SHOW.... so ADDICTIVE... please don't cancel..... this and switched at birth are the only shows I watch on a regular basis

My eldest daughter told me, Mom you have to watch this show I seen previous but didn't think anymore about it, so I tuned in and I love this show. I love the Moms, they have so much love for each other, and their kids :)

If anyone is wondering, ABC family has given a back order pick up for The Fosters for a full season. This means 10 more episodes completing a full 20 episode first season. The show has outperformed other shows which were cancelled after one season at that time slot (Bunheads, Jane By Design) If ratings continue as is for the second set of 10 episodes, The Fosters will be renewed for a Season 2.

My wife and I love this show. Our 10 year old daughter loves it too. She said it lets her know there are more families like ours.

Love this show! It's great to see not only a biracial couple but a gay couple as well.
