A dramedy following a demoted detective who teams up with a cab driver to solve crimes.
When tough New York detective Cat Sullivan is demoted to lowly foot patrol for disobeying orders and reckless driving, she is not too happy about it.
Taking her work into her own hands, Cat forms an unlikely team with a highly skilled taxi driver named Leo. Realizing he lied on his immigration forms, Cat offers to help Leo with his immigration issues in exchange for his taxi and driving abilities.
With Leo now acting as Cat's personal driver and consultant, they work together to solve crimes, including the mysterious death of her father.

I was looking forward to this show because of the previews & liked it for a while but then I slowly started losing interest. I agree with "JDintheOC." When Leo drove up to the building just in time to catch that egg, I really lost interest. I liked Leo & hope to see him around but "Cat" wasn't quite on the mark. (I've never seen/heard of her...maybe she's a newbie). As far as "Cat's" mother goes...her character is a little unrealistic as far as her "helping" with cases. "K Keeler" does have a point about this being a show without a lot of "f" words though.

Personally I like the show. I tell my wife we seem to curse nbc with shows we start to get interested in by having them cancelled. I.e. the cape. And victoria: im sure that there were some people u didn't offend. I'm not sure why you anti-seizure medicine is a joke. Considering over 26 million people have them. Including me. Start by becoming aware is my challenge.

I haven't been watching much lately, just the odd segments. I think the show's actually improved a bit since the beginning. I'm able to suspend disbelief a bit more. I can buy that Leo is freaking Iron Man behind the wheel. I may have even been wrong about the New York scenery. I like the characters of the captain and Cat's mom. The weak link continues to be Chyler/Cat herself. I wish she would just come out of the closet already and stop pretending she likes men.
...
So tonight's the season finale. They managed to play out the string without cancellation, congratulations. My guess is that NBC will simply let it end without ordering another season.
...
If this show comes back I'll eat my beret.

Started to watch "The Longest Night" Wednesday and switched over to "Motive" 10 minutes in. Look at the latest ratings and I think you can see the handwriting on the wall. Apparently all writers are not the same because this shows scripts bounce all over the place.

My husband and I love this show! The writing is good and the actors are very real. Love the comidy aspects. It is refreshing to have a show where the vocabulary goes beyond f.....that or f...you. I think the network tried to sink this ship with the title but I hope this show stays!!! Laughing is good but it doesn't have to be slap stick to be funny.

Hey D McD - I knew it was the end when Leo drove his cab next to the building and without being able to see through the roof of his cab, he stuck his hand out the window in the exact spot where the egg was going to be, and caught it. And about the cellphone thing.....I never fault someone for trying something new. We used to sail the seas in wooden ships. Don't think that would have worked forever. And I agree with you on Ido.
Sigh an aura.

Whoa. Is that really you, JD? I hate to say I told you so (well, I kinda don't). No hard feelings.
.
I hope that Jacky Ido manages to get some GOOD television or film roles again and leave this stinker behind him.

Okay, I have to admit I came into this series on episode #5 and thought it wasn't all that bad. I went back online to catch the first four and I have to agree...they were pretty bad. But ep#6 with Leo as a Zulu warrior was really a stupid idea. Last nights episode about Zombies(?) was the worst episode I have ever seen in any show, ever. I believe a Jr. high School student could have written a better script. The whole thing was a mind numbing mess and I can't think of a reason for creating it except they're trying to bring it to a quick death with no mourners.

This is possibly the worst show I have ever seen. Aside from being absolutely ludicrous on so many levels, having horrible dialogue and interactions, and no chemistry, it would appear they hired Micheal J. Fox as cameraman. This train wreck should come with a free gag back and anti-seizure medication. How is this still on the air.

I really enjoy the show. It makes me laugh because it is funny. I hope it comes back.
