A dramedy following a demoted detective who teams up with a cab driver to solve crimes.
When tough New York detective Cat Sullivan is demoted to lowly foot patrol for disobeying orders and reckless driving, she is not too happy about it.
Taking her work into her own hands, Cat forms an unlikely team with a highly skilled taxi driver named Leo. Realizing he lied on his immigration forms, Cat offers to help Leo with his immigration issues in exchange for his taxi and driving abilities.
With Leo now acting as Cat's personal driver and consultant, they work together to solve crimes, including the mysterious death of her father.

Bad directing. Uneven rhythm tells me that either the editor is a newbie or the show is so bad he/she is struggling to make it flow. Ido and What's her name are mis-cast big time, have no chemistry and are on opposite sides of the script. Ido should be the cop and hottie should be the cab driver. Of course, that's only the beginning of the list. If this show lasts past one season I will be very surprised. Looking forward to seeing Ido in something that will show off his talent better. If I didn't know any better I would say NBC is poaching Telemundo for hack novela directors.

D McD - Lad? I'm 73 and never watched "The OC". According to TV.Com, the seven episodes aired have an average of 8.2 out of 10. The Zulu warrior bit just left me scratching my head (What the..?). So I ask again - If it's so terrible, why do you continue to watch it. That's like me bad mouthing Nam but secretly wanting to go back there (not!). I like this show and will continue to watch it as long as there aren't more Zulu episodes. And that's my opinion which is just as valid as yours and Vice Versa.

Yes I agree, Cat is so annoying because she is always pissed off and petulant. I was waiting for her to freaking relax, but it didn't start off with chemistry and I think it's on the fast track to nowhere. I think they should can Cat, and put the cabbie as the cop, he's better.

Walter White couldn't give this show chemistry!
JD, JD... Somehow I manage to write about the show and not insult other posters. "Bitching"?!? I suppose you thought that the bit where Leo suddenly appears as a Zulu warrior was hilarious and not in the least offensive.
I've NEVER seen "The Mentalist" but somehow it's lasted for seven seasons. Why tune in to the soon-to-be-cancelled "Taxi Brooklyn"? Well... 1)I drove a cab in Philly once upon a time, 2)I now live in NYC, which is unrecognizable in this show, and 3)Luc Besson, whose genius is also nowhere to be found here.
I may continue to post as long as it continues to wind you up. Most others seem to agree with me -- notice? Maybe you're a giant Chyler Leigh fan. Or French. For alternative pablum, I'll check out "Extant." How about you just watch your DVDs of "The O.C." like a good lad?

D McD - Why does any female lead have to look sexy?
The cellphone thing..if that's all you can come up with then maybe you should go drink some moonshine. You like to keep bitching about this show but obviously you keep watching.....why!? You say you're counting down...then please do and stop posting your rhetoric and go watch a more pablum oriented show like The mentalist. Jeez...enough already!!!

Oh,wait... This show is listed as a COMedy. NOW I get it. Let's give it another chance...
...
Nope, still sucks. If it's a comedy, it ain't funny. If it's a drama, it's not dramatic. If it's a police procedural, it's simply preposterous. It's obviously shot nowhere near New York, containing less of the city than your average episode of "Seinfeld." Of course, it's a French co-production. I can't believe they did the whole "I thought you were dealing drugs," "No, it's spices for bouillabaisse" bit. "Cat" manages to be shrill, petulant, and totally unsexy. The show might be tolerable if not for her. And the unfunny gratuitous violence. And... oh, I give up. Counting down...
By the way, are other shows doing a thing where the characters' cell phone screens pop up onto thin air? If so, PLEASE STOP! I know you all think that what happens on your phones is real, but guess what, IT'S NOT!

Leo is not really a cabdriver. He is a police consultant who uses the taxi as a way to go places unnoticed. And many shows get off to a bad start, however, I started to enjoy last nights episode where the people act, react and talk like real people on the street. It has some flaws, but what shows don't? I'm going to give it a chance. If you don't want to, well.....just switch to something else!

Should be so bad it's good, but is actually just bad. Jacky Ido tries hard but he (naturally) gets second billing to Pixie Cut, who is just awful. For the record, Yellow Cabs neither pick up passengers in Brooklyn nor heal themselves by magic. Any fleet owner or TLC official would pull this guy's medallion immediately. That's just for starters, but this show will probably be off the air before I finish a complete list of its absurdities. Good job, NBC, cancelling Prime Suspect and putting on this COMPLETE DRECK!

Terrible show. Used to love her on Grey's and that is the only thing that made me sit through two episodes of this before I gave up. Just terrible use of an otherwise likable actress. The whole thing seems so forced and weird. Is it supposed to be serious or funny? They have her say some of THE MOST ridiculous lines I have heard in awhile. Hope she moves on to something else very soon!

Luv watching the gorgeous Chyler Leigh! Sadly this is a poor venue for her talent and looks. I'll be surprised if it makes it to mid-season.
