A dramedy following a demoted detective who teams up with a cab driver to solve crimes.
When tough New York detective Cat Sullivan is demoted to lowly foot patrol for disobeying orders and reckless driving, she is not too happy about it.
Taking her work into her own hands, Cat forms an unlikely team with a highly skilled taxi driver named Leo. Realizing he lied on his immigration forms, Cat offers to help Leo with his immigration issues in exchange for his taxi and driving abilities.
With Leo now acting as Cat's personal driver and consultant, they work together to solve crimes, including the mysterious death of her father.

NBC will likely renew Taxi Brooklyn. The show does not have a high cost rate and the ratings have gone up in the past few weeks. With the last episode leaving us at the edge of our seats there are too many unanswered questions to cancel the show on the last episode.

@Dermot McDermott -- I'm not a 'plant'. I found my way to this page after Googling 'will Taxi Brooklyn be renewed'. I'm betting many of the other commenters came through that same door. Embrace life, dude -- put cynicism aside! :-)

Please renew Taxi Brooklyn after demoting Chyler/Cat to the supporting-character status she deserves.
:p
No, I'm sorry, Gary Scott Thompson's Crew. Please let Taxi Brooklyn die a dignified death. NBC, please repeat these two words to yourselves over and over: Prime. Suspect. Prime. Suspect. Prime. Suspect.

Hmmm... Ninety percent negative comments for three months and then suddenly, after the finale, dozens of posts begging for this tone-deaf show's renewal.
...
I smell plants and they ain't spices for bouillabaisse.

i love Taxi Brookland and watch it on "on demand" if missed on DVR. I agree the fact that we , the faithful late night watchers are not counted is a travesty. I save all the best shows to watch after the house is calm, and I can watch a show from beginning to end without interruption. Viewers like me should be the ones who decide what stays and gos, not random people who sometimes just have the TV on for noise...Fix the system and there will be more good shows on the air.

I think Mark nailed the problems with the current rating procedure. The way people watch TV shows has drastically changed with technological advances. Keeping the old way the Nielsen rating system functioned with the new world of TV viewing is defeating the advances that the writers of scripted shows have made. C'mon all you brilliant geeks out there! Please develop a new way to calculate how many viewers watch a show including every means of watching a TV show aside from the initial day and time of airing.
