A drama following an NYPD detective balancing the demands of her day job and her family.
Laura Diamond is a New York homicide detective who is doing her best to balance her work with her home life as a single mother, which includes two disobedient kids and a soon-to-be ex-husband who is also a cop - and her boss.
Her life can get pretty crazy as a modern-day working mom, but she makes it work with help from her understanding partner.

After like 4 episodes, I lost interest. I can't stand her obnoxious kids. But, I hope it is renewed for those who love it and I do like Debra Messing.

Love this show. Look forward to it every week. It is a great mix of comedy and drama. I find the cast a great mix of personalities and characters.

I hope NBC does not cancel this show. I am already fuming about the cancellation of About A Boy. All the shows NBC keeps are the same!!! The Mysteries of Laura is a breath of fresh air!!
