A comedy following a woman returning to her hometown after the death of her mother.
Loosely inspired by comedian Tig Notaro's life, this dark comedy follows Tig as she returns to her childhood hometown in Mississippi after the unexpected death of her mother.
As she reels from her own recent health struggles and relationship challenges, Tig must also navigate the complexities of re-entering her hometown. In order to heal and move forward, she must deal with the loss of one of the only people who truly understood her.

I just discovered this show and am not surprised it got cancelled. That is to say, I actually love this show and shows like this rarely get a chance.
This one starts off slow and if you're not familiar with Tig's humor, it is dry, sarcastic and self-deprecating. Hang in there for a couple of episodes and it does pick up.
It is slightly "woke" but not in your face like most shows these days.
