A drama following an African American man who travels across segregated America in search of his missing father.
Atticus Black meets up with his friend Letitia and his Uncle George to embark on a trip across the segregated United States in the 1950s in search of his missing father.
This leads to a fight for survival and a struggle to overcome the racist terrors of white America as well as supernatural monsters that could be straight out of a Lovecraft paperback.
Based on Matt Ruff's novel of the same name.

All these comments about how bad the show makes white people look. I'm white and loved the show, but I'm a sifi/comic book/ horror nerd. I really hate that it was canceled.

Takes basic history and makes it very over exaggerated. So that the fifties become cartoonish. Not saying that racism was not a huge problem but this was silly. The sci fi became lost in this desire to villianize everyone not black. Good riddance to this awful show.

I absolutely love this show. Well acted! I hope it stays around for several more seasons. There's nothing else like it on tv. If you like fantasy/scfy with a dash of horror, you'll love it.

I watched this first season. I've taken off my to-be-recorded list on the DVR should there be a 2nd season. It just didn't interest me enough.
