A comedy following a teenage Persian boy entering his first year of high school.
Chad is a 14-year-old Persian boy in his first year of high school. Wanting desperately to be popular, Chad's friendships and sanity are tested as he does his best to make friends with the cool kids while enduring his mom's dating life and reconciling with his cultural identity.

The previous comments hit the mark when it comes to a 30's woman playing a teenager. Voice, face, body and ACTING don't depict a male. Worst ever. Whomever thought this was a good idea should NEVER work in Hollywood again.

I don't find this offensive, I have no problem with a female playing a male and I couldn't care less about not being properly represented as a male but this looks just beyond stupid. Usually ads show the "better or funnier parts" of a show to entice people to watch and judging by the ads, the acting and writing are terrible but I guess dry millennial "humor" is what passes now

Upon watching the previews for this upcoming series I was very confused bc I wasn’t sure if this was about a transgender boy or just bad acting. The role should have been played by a teenage Persian boy and not a grown woman.

The fact that a woman is playing a young doesn't make any sense to me, but it doesn't really bother me, in premise, either. What does bother me is that she does such a poor job of playing the role. It's so blatantly obvious that Chad is not a boy, but what looks, sounds, and behaves like a woman playing a boy. It's just not even passable. It might be cute to some female viewers, but men, like me, just can't accept that they're trying to pass this off as a boy. Pretty dumb. Just get a real boy to play the part, then you don't have the distraction of the woman playing a boy; unless I'm mistaken, the show isn't even about transgender issues. If it was, THEN it might make sense.

These comments are so ridiculous. The show has yet to air on TBS as it premieres April 6th. Almost three weeks from the date of my comment. This has nothing to with transgender or the “woke left.” FFS, Nasim created a character and a show based around it. If you don’t like it fine, but these comments are trying to make something out of nothing.

This show seems to be totally rude and utterly annoying. Also offensive. Praying hard core it gets canceled. Even the disrespect she gives to family.....wow! I Asked around so far 25 people including me will never watch this seriously annoying disrespectful show!
