There used to be a time when Kaiju rose from the Pacific Rim and gigantic robots known as Jaegers fought them back. That time has passed and the threat from Kaiju looms large once again.

Australia has been overrun by Kaiju, forcing the entire population of the continent to evacuate. Teenage siblings who were left behind embark on a desperate search for their missing parents, teaching themselves to pilot an old abandoned Jaeger to assist them in their quest and give them hope for survival.
