Ever since leaving her hometown and birthname behind, Cassandra has vowed to become who she is now: a free and independent trans woman. And after many challenging years, things are getting better - she has her own place, a boyfriend, and a job as a motorbike courier in downtown São Paulo. She has also fulfilled her dream of performing in shows singing Vanusa, a romantic singer from the 1970s in Brazil.
But her life is turned upside down when an old friend, Leide, shows up with a 10-year-old boy and says he's her son. Leide wants to share the responsibilities, but Cassandra just wants to be free. She will come to realize, though, that she doesn't need to be alone in order to be free.
