A dramedy following the first woman of color to become the Chair at a major Pembroke university.
Dr. Ji-Yoon Kim is a Korean woman navigating her new role as the Chair of the English department at prestigious Pembroke University.
While trying to handle the demands and expectations of a failing department, Dr. Kim must also deal with the unique challenges that come with being the first woman to chair the department as well as one of the university's few staff members of color.

This show works brilliantly as a 6 episode mini series with very strong performances from all involved. Including minor characters live Ji-Yoon’s child and father.It might have been able to swing a second season of 6 to 10 episodes, but I think they would have ended up rehashing covered ground by the end.
More American shows need to follow this example and leave the audience wanting a little more.
